15 Great Things I Know About Jesus

1.       He calls us friends – John 15:15

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

2.       He went to prepare a place for us – John 14:2

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3.       He taught us how to pray – Matthew 6:6-13

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

4.       He came to save – Luke 19:10

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

5.       He left us the Holy Spirit – John 16:7, John 14:26

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

6.       He is always with us – Matthew 28:20

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen

7.       He is a mediator – 1Tim 2:5

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

8.       He never changes – Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

9.       He is the Prince of Peace – Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

10.   He came to fulfil the law – Matthew 5:17

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

11.   He is the son of God – Matthew 3:17

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

12.   He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings – 1Tim. 6:15, Rev. 17:14, Rev. 19.16

Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords.

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

13.   His name is above every name – Phil 2:9

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

14.   He died for all – 2 Cor. 5:15

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

15.   He is our Savior – 1John 4:14, 2Pet.3:18, Titus 2:13

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
