No Gray Areas With God

Gray area

There are no gray areas when it comes to God. He makes it very plain, curses or blessings it is your choice. Read Deuteronomy Chapter 28. God does not force us to choose Him. You are free to choose who you will serve. The Pharisees and Sadducees manipulated and misinterpret the laws of God to fit their lifestyle and made the wrong decision to crucify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the cross – by the way should this have been considered an obstruction of justice as we know it today and by definition: (the crime or act of willfully interfering with the process of justice and law especially by influencing, threatening, harming, or impeding a witness), because either they didn’t believe or could comprehend who he was or the truth that he came to do the will of his Father: In Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. God’s word will always come to pass and is true through the ages. And it goes on to say in Luke 19:10, For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which is lost. It was all in God’s plan. John the Baptist was sent from God to bear witness that Jesus was the true Light. Read John 1: 6-29. Jesus was a witness of the truth, John 18:37, Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

I believe the answer is yes, many tried to obstruct justice and no they didn’t succeed. John the Baptist told of his coming. Jesus came, he died for you and me, and rose with all power. God is in control. John1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. God is the only one who can say when it is finished. There are no gray areas with God. Either you believe or you don’t. People choose to sin or not to sin. Be obedient and receive the blessings of God or sin and live with the consequences and curses that can plague you and your family.

God does not sugar coat his word. He is not a sometime God he is faithful and an on-time God and his word will not come back void. Society may have gray areas…we have laws then we make ungodly exceptions that are against everything God says in his word. Live for God at all times. Do not accept the gray areas. There is no meeting in the middle therefore no middle ground. God’s judgement is not gray. It will happen when and how he says it will. We should be thankful that God makes it clear for us. He doesn’t want us to stumble. He doesn’t want us to succumb to the snares of the enemy. God doesn’t want us in a world of confusion because the word says God is not the author of confusion.

God’s word is transparent with no gray areas to be found anywhere in his word. God is our strength; he is all powerful and keeps his promises. The God who created the sun, moon, stars, and made man from the dust of the earth is the I AM. In society there are shades of gray and things are not clear and leaving you with some doubt in your mind. Laws of the land may not be clear with revisions being made every time we turn around to suit this group of people or that group of people. The wording is unclear and you don’t know what is right and what is wrong. You don’t know what the truth is or what to believe because it’s about furthering their own agenda. God had the master plan from the beginning and that he came in the volume of a book and it is written of Him…. the truth.

Lord thank you for your word which is the blueprint for our life. Thank you for equipping us with everything we need to get through. God thank you for making your word plain, there are no do overs or revisions, it stands and it is truth. With your word there are no misunderstandings or gray areas about the blessings or curses that can come from our actions. We adore you and we honor you and believe in your word this day and every day. God, we thank you for we know you do everything decent and in order. No gray areas, no doubt, but everything will come to pass for you are mighty in all your ways in Jesus name Amen.

Take a contract for example, you read it over and you know you better read the fine print because things may look good but as you continue to read you realize that the terms are not in your best interest. With the Bible nothing is hidden just pick up the word, read it, study it and meditate on it. God loved us enough to write it all out. Take the Bible with you, better yet know the word so tough that it is written on your heart. Not one gray area to be found. It’s  all laid out from Genesis to Revelations in black and white. It’s all very clear.

Be Blessed

The Bible Is My GPS

GPS and BibleI think about my destination to heaven the way others think about their next vacation destination. What path do I need to take? Will the roads I travel be clear so I can see what I need to see. The Bible has all the answers. The Bible is my GPS to keep me on the right path.

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. (Psalm 25:4 KJV)

With the word of God, I always want him to order my steps, but what’s just as important is I must obey where he tells me to go, even if I don’t understand it. I must trust Him and have faith.

There may be trials and tribulations similar to road construction we want to get around it quickly by taking shortcuts. The choice is yours, however remember what the word says I’m with you always, now that’s encouragement for your soul and you can make it through whatever may come your way. God may not take you around the dilemmas, issues, or pain but he is with us as we go through it.

If we think God’s path will not work, doubting his word and going off on our own we can probably expect a path of destruction that leads to sin. Let’s not be like the Israelites wondering in the wilderness and complaining. Listen to God and obey.

I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. (Psalms 4:11 KJV)
We can try to delay taking the path that God has laid out for us, but the will of God will come to pass whether we decide to take the long way or a shortcut. I prefer to concentrate on the righteous way.

My Bible is the best GPS and it is always right, I just need to follow the directions in it.
Let me do a self-check to see if I’m following God’s directions exactly as spoken in the word of God:
I’m saved – Romans 10:9
My body is a temple and bought with a price – 1Cor.19-20
Exhibiting the Fruit of the Spirit – Galatians 5:22-23
Be ye Holy for I am holy – 1Peter 1:16
Walk by faith and not by sight – 2 Cor 5:7
Worship God in Spirit and in truth – John 4:24
His spirit dwells in me – 1 John 4:13

I’m believe I’m on the right path. And I will not give up. I’m going to trust in the creator of my path.

The Bible is our GPS to stay the course and follow the path. When we go on vacation, we are excited about getting to our destination whether it be a quick weekend getaway or the luxury of one or two weeks, once we get there, we are excited that we arrived and if someone is waiting on us, they are excited too. This is what I envision, if I stay on the path reading the word of God and applying it to my life one day I will get to heaven and rejoice and God will say Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant Come On In.

7 THINGS TO HELP KIDS BE LIKE CHRIST

Train Up A Child

Kids want to be loved and have fun. So simple right? It should be simple because kids don’t come into the world with the mentality to plan to do evil. These behaviors are taught by people they know or have some form of interaction with daily or periodically. Maybe over hearing conversations from unknown individuals in passing. You may think you have it under control by limiting the number of hours in front of the television and on social media or playing with friends and tech toys, but unfortunately that is not enough. You see, on the other side of that door is a life filled with bad influences and temptations and the things that are not of God. But it’s not too late to train up your kids in the way they should go and create a change in the atmosphere one child at a time.

Let’s get started!!

PARENT PREPARATION

Proverbs 3:5 KJV Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

1Cor 3:19 KJV For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

We need God’s wisdom and knowledge to help with our children and with all things.

Proverbs 2:6 KJV For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of the mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 8:11 KJV For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared.

2Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The word of God has to be in you, a part of who you are… parents obeying and applying the word of God. You are the first example of Christ for your kids.

(Below is a list of books and scriptures, but seek the word of God with your kids and find the ones suitable for them to understand.)

7 THINGS TO HELP KIDS BE LIKE CHRIST

  1. Read the Bible with your kids – help children build strength and character.
  2. Love – Share with them that God is love. 1Cor.13:4, 1Cor. 16:14, and 1John4:19
  3. Pray – Teach them about talking to God and spending personal time with Him in prayer. Jeremiah 29:12
  4. Praise – Let God know you adore him and show your appreciation of who He is and all that He has done, is doing and will do. Psalm 135:1, Psalm 150:6, and Psalm 148:13
  5. Have Empathy – Teaching children to have empathy to put themselves in others shoes. Having compassion and understanding for others because you see things the way God sees them. Because someone is not like you or is less fortunate doesn’t make them not important in God’s eyes. So, try to understand what they may be going through by envisioning yourself in that situation. Col. 3:12 and 1Pet. 3:8
  6. Be Giving – Be ready to act, be a giver of time, money clothing, or food to help those in need. For example, do volunteer work in a food pantry. Prov. 11:25, Prov. 22:9, Acts 20:35, James 2:15-16, and Deut. 15:10
  7. Forgiveness – To understand that we all fall short and need forgiveness. If you want God to forgive you, you must be willing to forgive others. Ephesians 4:32 and Matthew 6:14

We want kids that go out in the world and in every situation before they act, they ask the question –

What Would Jesus Do?

God’s Law Still in Question

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 KJV

Moses is dead and Joshua is to lead the Israelites into the Promise Land and God lays down the ground rules for the law. Joshua 1:8 KJV This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

God is telling the people of Israel get my law in you, be obedient to my law and blessings will come.

Now before you go shaking your head and motioning your hand for me to stop right there because you say we are not under the law, let me explain. Then feel free to use my comment section because I would love to hear from you and I’m always willing to learn. Just remember everything we do or say we should do it in love.

Okay back to the law.

Are you thinking about Romans 6:14 KJV?  When Paul says, For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. We can’t leave out Roman 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. What Paul is telling you is that you are not under the law, but under grace with respect to your salvation. That does not mean you can sin. And since sinners are saved by God’s grace through faith in Christ many believe they are free from sin or free to sin. That is not true. The law is used for instructions to help us live in obedience to God’s word. While Christ was on earth, he was obedient at all times, showing love through his actions.

Read Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. His spirit dwells in us, to help us and if we believe in Christ and who he is, the son of God, who died for us then we will and should have the desire to please him. Be obedient to the law.

Jesus states in Matthew 5:17 -18 KJV Think not that I come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

There are three types of laws:

  • Civil Law– dealt with Israel’s worship but the principles behind these laws are to guide our conduct. These laws were more for the nation of Israel.
  • Ceremonial Law– these laws covered cleanliness, priestly laws, feasts, and festivals and how to love and worship God. The last part of that to love and worship God we should still do today.
  • Moral Law – this includes the 10 Commandments and they are timeless, this is the nature and will of God.

And one of the greatest benefits of the Bible is to know that it holds our guidelines for living in obedience to what is required of us to please God. God’s word is truth. John 17:17 KJV Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

John 14:15 KJV If you love me, keep my commandments.

Matthew: 22:36-40 KJV Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Galatians 5:14 KJV For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

1John 5:3 KJV For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. Let’s go to the Life Application Study Bible for this one, Loving God means keeping his commandments and really, that isn’t difficult. It breaks it down further than that (you really should get this study Bible) Jesus never promised that obeying him would be easy. But the hard work and self-discipline of serving Christ is no burden to those who love him. And if our load starts to feel heavy, we can always trust Christ to help us bear it.

We don’t have to question if God’s law is relevant in today’s society. Like I said before, moral laws are timeless. Know that it is and abide by it.  And we do this by Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

God’s word is law. Live in obedience and love one another, so you may receive the blessings and promises of God.

Be Blessed
