God’s Word is Forever

The Word of the Lord

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. 1Peter 1:25

WOW it’s so reassuring that the word of God is for ever and I will accept and receive the tranquility of his word that never changes, because it is the same yesterday, today, and always. I don’t know about you, but that makes me leap for joy on the inside!! I can go to the word of God in everything I do. When I want to spend time learning his ways I can go to the word of God. When I want to share the word of God with others, it is the same word for them as it is for me. It is my source for all I do and I’ll always believe in his word until I stop breathing.

Furthermore, I love that the word stands it doesn’t change or fail. People fail but not the word of God. His word is above his name and his word is true which is inspiration for my soul, it comforts me and feeds my spirit over and over again. When I think back over my life experiences, on things I wished would have lasted forever, I know now that it was for my good that those things didn’t last forever.

The things of this world will not last, but his word is forever and I thank you Lord for the promises in your word. Allow me to give you two scriptures to let you know about his word. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever, Isaiah 40:8. The second one is this, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away, Matthew 29:35. Hope, faith, and love flow throughout the pages, magnifying the beauty of his word. I don’t have to ever wonder and second guess what to do or which way to go, I can go directly to the word of God that has stood the test of time and always will.

No Gray Areas With God

Gray area

There are no gray areas when it comes to God. He makes it very plain, curses or blessings it is your choice. Read Deuteronomy Chapter 28. God does not force us to choose Him. You are free to choose who you will serve. The Pharisees and Sadducees manipulated and misinterpret the laws of God to fit their lifestyle and made the wrong decision to crucify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the cross – by the way should this have been considered an obstruction of justice as we know it today and by definition: (the crime or act of willfully interfering with the process of justice and law especially by influencing, threatening, harming, or impeding a witness), because either they didn’t believe or could comprehend who he was or the truth that he came to do the will of his Father: In Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. God’s word will always come to pass and is true through the ages. And it goes on to say in Luke 19:10, For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which is lost. It was all in God’s plan. John the Baptist was sent from God to bear witness that Jesus was the true Light. Read John 1: 6-29. Jesus was a witness of the truth, John 18:37, Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

I believe the answer is yes, many tried to obstruct justice and no they didn’t succeed. John the Baptist told of his coming. Jesus came, he died for you and me, and rose with all power. God is in control. John1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. God is the only one who can say when it is finished. There are no gray areas with God. Either you believe or you don’t. People choose to sin or not to sin. Be obedient and receive the blessings of God or sin and live with the consequences and curses that can plague you and your family.

God does not sugar coat his word. He is not a sometime God he is faithful and an on-time God and his word will not come back void. Society may have gray areas…we have laws then we make ungodly exceptions that are against everything God says in his word. Live for God at all times. Do not accept the gray areas. There is no meeting in the middle therefore no middle ground. God’s judgement is not gray. It will happen when and how he says it will. We should be thankful that God makes it clear for us. He doesn’t want us to stumble. He doesn’t want us to succumb to the snares of the enemy. God doesn’t want us in a world of confusion because the word says God is not the author of confusion.

God’s word is transparent with no gray areas to be found anywhere in his word. God is our strength; he is all powerful and keeps his promises. The God who created the sun, moon, stars, and made man from the dust of the earth is the I AM. In society there are shades of gray and things are not clear and leaving you with some doubt in your mind. Laws of the land may not be clear with revisions being made every time we turn around to suit this group of people or that group of people. The wording is unclear and you don’t know what is right and what is wrong. You don’t know what the truth is or what to believe because it’s about furthering their own agenda. God had the master plan from the beginning and that he came in the volume of a book and it is written of Him…. the truth.

Lord thank you for your word which is the blueprint for our life. Thank you for equipping us with everything we need to get through. God thank you for making your word plain, there are no do overs or revisions, it stands and it is truth. With your word there are no misunderstandings or gray areas about the blessings or curses that can come from our actions. We adore you and we honor you and believe in your word this day and every day. God, we thank you for we know you do everything decent and in order. No gray areas, no doubt, but everything will come to pass for you are mighty in all your ways in Jesus name Amen.

Take a contract for example, you read it over and you know you better read the fine print because things may look good but as you continue to read you realize that the terms are not in your best interest. With the Bible nothing is hidden just pick up the word, read it, study it and meditate on it. God loved us enough to write it all out. Take the Bible with you, better yet know the word so tough that it is written on your heart. Not one gray area to be found. It’s  all laid out from Genesis to Revelations in black and white. It’s all very clear.

Your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit

Gold -Your Body and temple

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1Cor. 6:19-20

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 1 Cor.3:16-17

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1

When you read the scriptures above there is no misunderstanding in what God says about our bodies being the temple and how we should treat the temple where the Holy Spirit resides, but you are not sure how to live a life of righteousness and holiness. Well here you go, by seeking God first, and by doing that you are renewing your mind and when your mind is focused on God you search for Him, reading about him, drawing closer to him, which feeds the Holy Spirit that dwelleth in you like the word says. The word is your biblical instructions for righteous and holy living.  In Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. For Romans 12:2 tells us, And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1Peter 1:16. That is a command from the Lord. Remember obedience is better than sacrifice. Starting today, feed your Spirit the word of God, so your actions and speech are acceptable to God. Surrender it all and glorify God in your body and Spirit.

The Bible Is My GPS

GPS and BibleI think about my destination to heaven the way others think about their next vacation destination. What path do I need to take? Will the roads I travel be clear so I can see what I need to see. The Bible has all the answers. The Bible is my GPS to keep me on the right path.

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. (Psalm 25:4 KJV)

With the word of God, I always want him to order my steps, but what’s just as important is I must obey where he tells me to go, even if I don’t understand it. I must trust Him and have faith.

There may be trials and tribulations similar to road construction we want to get around it quickly by taking shortcuts. The choice is yours, however remember what the word says I’m with you always, now that’s encouragement for your soul and you can make it through whatever may come your way. God may not take you around the dilemmas, issues, or pain but he is with us as we go through it.

If we think God’s path will not work, doubting his word and going off on our own we can probably expect a path of destruction that leads to sin. Let’s not be like the Israelites wondering in the wilderness and complaining. Listen to God and obey.

I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. (Psalms 4:11 KJV)
We can try to delay taking the path that God has laid out for us, but the will of God will come to pass whether we decide to take the long way or a shortcut. I prefer to concentrate on the righteous way.

My Bible is the best GPS and it is always right, I just need to follow the directions in it.
Let me do a self-check to see if I’m following God’s directions exactly as spoken in the word of God:
I’m saved – Romans 10:9
My body is a temple and bought with a price – 1Cor.19-20
Exhibiting the Fruit of the Spirit – Galatians 5:22-23
Be ye Holy for I am holy – 1Peter 1:16
Walk by faith and not by sight – 2 Cor 5:7
Worship God in Spirit and in truth – John 4:24
His spirit dwells in me – 1 John 4:13

I’m believe I’m on the right path. And I will not give up. I’m going to trust in the creator of my path.

The Bible is our GPS to stay the course and follow the path. When we go on vacation, we are excited about getting to our destination whether it be a quick weekend getaway or the luxury of one or two weeks, once we get there, we are excited that we arrived and if someone is waiting on us, they are excited too. This is what I envision, if I stay on the path reading the word of God and applying it to my life one day I will get to heaven and rejoice and God will say Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant Come On In.
